Content marketers and SEO professionals are the first to know how rapidly the search landscape is evolving. The metrics we used to live by (like organic sessions and click-through rate) are suddenly shifting, and we need to understand how AI is changing search so we can keep up.
That’s why I’m especially proud of the impact of my content strategy at Netgain in the past year, including:
- Increased organic traffic from Google by 97% in 6 months by creating and optimizing content both internally and through a partnership with an SEO agency.
- Increased the organic CTR for top-ranking keywords from 19% to 37% in 4 months (at a time when CTR is decreasing across the board) by optimizing content for search intent and for Google features like People Also Ask, AI Overview, and Featured Snippets.
- Increased keywords ranking in AI Overview by 580% in 3 months.
- Increased keywords ranking in People Also Ask by 181% in 3 months.
All of this contributed to organic search being one of the top channels driving sales pipeline. In Q1 2025, organic search was the original source for 26% of deals.
