To celebrate Halloween, I collaborated with a team to create spooky-themed content that tied into Twilio’s products.
First, we wrote a blog post about horror movies (one of my all-time favorite topics to write about) where the plot centered on scary phone calls or messages: The call’s coming from inside the house: 13 movies with eerie phone calls and messages.
Then, we developed a text-based scary movie emoji quiz. Once users signed up to receive text messages from Twilio, they received a series of emoji and had to guess the horror movie title these represented.

The LinkedIn post promoting the emoji quiz was one of the the top-performing social media posts for Twilio in 2023, generating over 85,000 impressions and a 3.5% engagement rate (well above the average).
